Andy Lee’s Do Not Watch This Show Renewed for Third Season
The ABC, Screen Australia and VicScreen have announced that Do Not Watch This Show, adapted from Andy Lee’s Do Not Open This Book, will return for a third season in 2027. The series has become a hit with families, with the premiere episodes of its first two seasons achieving average audiences of over 2 million.¹ Its mix of mischievous comedy has attracted both children and parents, while the show has also gained traction internationally.
The series follows Wizz, a blue monster voiced by Lee who refuses to accept that he is the star of the show and goes to extreme lengths to convince children to switch off.

Creator Andy Lee said "Wizz has let me know he can't believe this is happening again, and neither can I! It's a privilege to make this show and encourage kids around Australia to be disobedient rascals. We're so excited to be back for Season 3 and create even more trouble for Wizz."
ABC Head of Children & Family Melinda Wearne said, "We're thrilled to support Lee Bones to bring more of this original series to life, and we can’t wait for more of the mischievous comedy and playful adventures that audiences love.”

Screen Australia Director of Narrative Content Louise Gough said, “The huge popularity of Do Not Watch This Show reflects the creativity, humour and heart that Andy Lee and the Lee Bones team bring to the series. It’s been wonderful to see families embrace the show, and even more exciting to watch its success grow internationally. Wizz won't be happy about it, but we’re delighted to support the next chapter of Wizz’s wonderfully mischievous adventures.
VicScreen CEO Caroline Pitcher said, “You probably shouldn’t watch Do Not Watch This Show... but millions have. We’re proud to support Lee Bones and the team as they bring a third season of this wildly imaginative Victorian-made hit to Wizz fans everywhere.”

Do Not Watch This Show is a Lee Bones production for the ABC, with major production investment from the ABC and Screen Australia, in association with VicScreen. Lee Bones Distribution handles local distribution, while 9Story is responsible for international distribution. The first two seasons are available to stream on ABC iview.
