All3Media International has secured a new wave of international sales for Gone, the drama created by George Kay, as the series receives multiple nominations at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival’s Golden Nymph Awards. Produced by New Pictures in association with Observatory Pictures, the six-part thriller is competing in the categories of Best Series, Best Creation, Best Actress, Best Actor, the Jury Special Prize and the Public Prize.
Following its launch on ITV earlier this year, the series has now been acquired by Filmin in Spain, NPO in the Netherlands, VRT in Flemish Belgium, Virgin Media in Ireland, SVT in Sweden, DR in Denmark, YLE in Finland and Cosmote in Greece. The new buyers join previously announced partners including BritBox in North America, Stan in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand and BBC Studios in Asia.
Gone stars David Morrissey as Michael Polly, a respected school headmaster whose life begins to unravel after the disappearance of his wife Sarah Polly. Eve Myles co-stars as Detective Annie Cassidy, who becomes locked in an increasingly tense psychological battle with Michael as the investigation unfolds. The drama explores themes including trauma, trust and institutional power alongside its central mystery narrative.
