Prime Video Showcases 2026 International Originals Slate
Prime Video revealed that its Spanish-language “Culpables” film franchise has surpassed 100 million viewers worldwide, as the platform unveiled its 2026 International Originals slate during its inaugural Prime Video Presents: International Originals showcase in London.

The announcement was made by Kelly Day, VP of Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios International, who opened the event by highlighting the global performance of the trilogy — Culpa Mía, Culpa Tuya and Culpa Nuestra — based on the bestselling books by Mercedes Ron. The films launched at number one in more than 170 countries, with over 90% of viewers coming from outside Spain.

U.S. Adaptation In Development
Further underscoring Prime Video’s investment in book IP, Nicole Clemens, VP of International Originals at Amazon MGM Studios, announced that the latest novel from Ron — 30 sunsets para enamorarte (from the Bali series) — is now in development, marking the first U.S. adaptation of the Spanish author’s work. The project is part of the streamer’s broader “House of Ron” collaboration, which includes 10 book-to-screen adaptations.
Clemens also unveiled the platform’s Top 10 most-watched non-English language International Originals over the past year, reflecting growing global demand for international storytelling. The ranking featured titles from Spain, Germany, India, Brazil and Mexico, including Culpa Nuestra, Maxton Hall – The World Between Us (S2), The Family Man (S3) and Panchayat (S4).

The showcase featured appearances from international talent including Stanley Tucci, Alia Bhatt, Nicole Wallace, Dolores Fonzi, Park Min-young and Wi Ha-joon, who presented upcoming films and series launching globally in 2026.
Among the highlighted titles were:

Global Reach And Localization
Executives emphasized Prime Video’s continued investment in personalization technology and localization tools, enabling content to scale internationally through AI-powered recommendations, subtitles and dubbing in more than 30 languages. All 2026 titles will launch across 240 countries and territories.

Speaking at the event, Kelly Day, Vice President of Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios International, commented: “Prime Video is where international storytelling is thriving. What we're seeing now is that audiences all over the world are finding content from lots of other countries that they really enjoy watching. This is happening more frequently, and Prime Video is where that's happening.

Day added: “Technology innovations we’ve made personalizing our service around country of origin and language preference have made it so that audiences everywhere can enjoy movies and television from other places around the world. Streaming has uniquely enabled this, scaling up through social conversation, personalization, technical advancements, and AI, which allows us to deliver more personalized recommendations and a far greater volume of subtitles and dubs in over 30 languages.”The showcase underscored Prime Video’s strategy of building global franchises from non-English IP, capitalizing on the rising international appeal of Korean dramas, anime, Indian series and European originals.”
