Banijay France is extending the Fort Boyard franchise beyond its long-running entertainment format with new digital and scripted initiatives as the adventure competition returns to France TV for its 37th season. Created by ALP, part of Banijay France, the format will launch its new season with Cyril Féraud as host, alongside refreshed gameplay featuring new challenges and twists.
Ahead of the premiere, France TV and Banijay France teamed up with French streamer Domingo for a creator-led activation designed to reach digital audiences. During a live Twitch broadcast, Domingo, together with creators Baghera, ZeratoR and Clemquicourt, explored the iconic fortress and took part in a series of challenges. A dedicated episode is now available on france.tv and Domingo’s YouTube channel.
The franchise is also expanding into scripted content. Screenline, part of Banijay France, has begun production on Meurtres à Fort Boyard (1x90’), a feature-length crime drama for France TV. Written by Camille Guichard and David Crozier and directed by Florence Fauquet, the film stars Olivia Côte and Marie Petiot.
First launched more than 35 years ago, Fort Boyard has become one of the world's longest-running adventure competition formats, spawning more than 30 local adaptations and a growing portfolio of brand extensions across multiple platforms.
