Global media intelligence consultancy, K7 Media, is set to present a record-breaking seven sessions at MIPTV next month.

On Sunday 7th April, Keri Lewis Brown will moderate the exclusive MIPDrama Buyers’ Summit. The invite-only event will provide drama buyers with a first-look of 10 of the most anticipated international new series in production.
The Summit will kick off with a Trends and Insights session. ‘Big Stories from Small Places’ will examine the current demand for 'hyper-localisation' in drama and the impact this is having on the tone of the stories being told.
As part of MIPFormats, K7 Media’s Managing Director, Phil Birchenall will look at the breakout success of Korean shows. Working in collaboration with KOCCA, ‘K-Formats: The Next Big Hits from Korea’ will showcase the very best in Korean programming including smash international hit The Masked Singer.
Communications Manager, David Ciaramella, is hosting a further two sessions at MIPFormats. ‘New Hits: All You Need is Visual Effects’ will look at the success of entertainment formats, such as The Wall and All Together Now and the extent to which originality in visuals should be credited for their success. The second session, ‘Entertainment: A Quest for Authenticity’ will explore the growing demand for entertainment shows that mirror the real world and how this trend is set to develop.
As part of MIPDoc, David Ciaramella will host ‘Factual Trends – A Global Overview’, a session exploring the hottest trends in factual and documentary from across the globe.
Michelle Lin, Asia Pacific Manager at K7 Media, will be moderating MIPFormats’ ‘Exclusive Showcase: Mental Samurai – The New Physical Quiz’, alongside Executive Producer and industry legend Jeff Apploff. The session will offer production secrets and insights into this brand new Rob Lowe-fronted game show, described as a ‘mental obstacle course’.
