The second season of the global phenomenon premieres exclusively on Prime Video in Italy on November 6, with the first three episodes, followed by two episodes on November 13 and the season finale on November 20. Alessia Marcuzzi returns as host, overseeing a new group of 14 celebrity contestants, including Awed, Francesca Barra, Biondo, Camihawke, Lorella Cuccarini, Mario Ermito, Daniele Gattano, Pasquale La Rocca, Filippo Magnini, Valentina Nappi, Giorgia Palmas, Jolanda Renga, Giulia Salemi and Gianluca Torre.
This season introduces a new twist: a secret traitor whose identity will remain hidden, adding another layer of uncertainty to the contestants' alliances and strategies.
Set in a mysterious new location, the psychological reality competition challenges celebrities to work together on missions to build a cash prize fund, while secretly designated Traitors attempt to manipulate the group and avoid detection. The Faithful must identify and eliminate the Traitors before the final round.
The Traitors Italia is produced by Fremantle Italia for Amazon MGM Studios. The BAFTA- and Emmy-winning format originated in the Netherlands, where it was created and developed by IDTV, a Banijay Entertainment company, in collaboration with RTL Creative Unit.
Originally launched on RTL4 in 2021 under the title De Verraders, the format has become a major international success, with local adaptations commissioned in more than 40 territories. Banijay Entertainment handles international format distribution and licensing.
