The third season of Italian comedy drama Viola come il mare premieres on Canale 5 on Wednesday, November 4, in prime time, with Francesca Chillemi returning in the lead role alongside new cast member Rodrigo Guirao.

Produced by Lux Vide, a Fremantle company, in co-production with RTI, the new season consists of 12 episodes airing over six prime-time evenings. All episodes will also be available for free on Mediaset Infinity ahead of their weekly linear broadcast.
The story follows investigative journalist Viola Vitale (Chillemi), whose relationship with police inspector Francesco Demir is about to reach a turning point. However, her life takes an unexpected direction with the arrival of Massimo Paternò (Guirao), Palermo's new police inspector and her new neighbour.
Despite their initial clashes, Viola and Massimo begin working together to solve complex mysteries, gradually developing a special friendship that helps them both overcome difficult personal circumstances.

Directed by Alexis Sweet and Laszlo Barbo, the series is produced by Matilde Bernabei, Elena Bucaccio, Valerio Fiorespino and Corrado Trionfera.
