BossaNova Partners With Energy UK on Digital-First Series
BossaNova Media has partnered with Energy UK, the country's leading energy trade association, to develop Energy Explained, a new short-form series designed to answer audiences' questions about energy, from how electricity reaches homes to the challenges of renewable power generation. The initial episodes will form part of a broader strand covering the science, engineering, history and future of the energy transition.

BossaNova will work alongside Klik Studios, its sister company based in London and Istanbul, which will contribute its YouTube expertise to the project. Formerly known as Night Train Digital, Klik operates almost 60 YouTube channels across scripted and unscripted content, reaching a combined audience of more than 25 million subscribers and generating over 3.5 billion watch hours.

Juliette Sanders, chief communications officer at Energy UK, said: “We rely on energy in our daily lives, it powers our homes, businesses, hospitals, schools, transport and more. Not only is the way we generate and transport energy complex, it’s changing, and people understandably have questions. We’re excited to be working with BossaNova and Klik to be answering these questions. At Energy UK, we are not just committed to ensuring people have the facts. We want to tell the stories about some of the amazing technical feats of wonder, from turbines that float at sea to power stations inside mountains, and open the door to stunning visuals that few people get to see.”
Francesca Johnson, head of acquisitions at BossaNova, added: “As we navigate the seismic shifts in our industry, it’s very much in our focus to continue to service traditional TV markets whilst developing innovative strategy for emerging digital first opportunities. This partnership with Energy UK puts us firmly in the driving seat on a subject that has never been more relevant – decarbonisation and the energy transition to renewables – in a brand-new format that is fun, informative and accessible. We're committed to putting climate on screen through entertaining brands and formats that have an impact and this is an important first step.”

The initiative also marks the expansion of BossaNova's Development Day programme, launched almost a decade ago. The company plans to introduce its first Digital Development Day in spring 2027, focusing on YouTube and digital-first content.
