Madgic Distribution Sells Walter’s Christmas to France and Portugal
Madgic Distribution has secured new international sales for Danish live-action fantasy series Walter’s Christmas, with Canal+ France acquiring the second season and RTP Portugal picking up the first. Produced by Cosmo Film for TV2 Denmark, the series is written by Jesper Fink and Thomas Porsager, directed by Morten BH, and produced by Sille Sterll and Michel Ryddeskov.
“Walter’s Christmas is a fun, fantastical series and we are excited that children in France and Portugal will experience the show this holiday season. The writing and storytelling make this Danish show accessible and relevant to kids around the world,” said Lionel Marty, managing director of Madgic Distribution.

The first season follows Walter, whose family farm hosts an annual Christmas market. When he discovers that his mother has put the property up for sale, he ventures into a nearby forest that has always been off-limits to him and his younger sister Rita. There, he meets Tala, a magical creature from the hidden Endless Forest, who reveals that the forest and the natural world are under threat.
The second season, comprising 24 episodes, returns to the Egebjerggård family farm as preparations begin for the traditional Christmas market. Walter, now the Keeper of the Forest, struggles to master his magical abilities while joining forces with Tala, who can transform into a wolf, to confront a mysterious figure hunting the magical creatures of the Endless Forest.
