CIIF Market 2026 to Host Panels on VFX and Music for Audiovisual Productions
CIIF Market (Canary Islands International Film Market) is partnering with Tenerife Film Commission to host two industry panels exploring the development of the visual effects sector in the Canary Islands and the role of music in audiovisual productions. The sessions will bring together professionals from the audiovisual and music industries to discuss industry challenges, business and financing models, international opportunities and collaboration between the two sectors.

The first panel, VFX in the Canary Islands: Talent, Industry and Internationalisation, will examine the growth of visual effects studios in the archipelago, their opportunities in international markets and the impact of artificial intelligence on creative and production processes. Participants will include Ignacio Caicoya of Flaming Frames, Rubén Román of 22 Dogs, Jonathan Monroig of Blurr Rojo and Ricardo Martínez of Tenerife Film Commission. Olga Martín Pascual of INtech Tenerife will moderate the discussion.

The second session, Making the Musical Vision a Reality, will focus on the creative and professional challenges of integrating music into audiovisual productions, addressing composition, music supervision, licensing, copyright and potential collaborations between the music and screen industries. The panel will feature Patricia Carrera of ASM and Vector de Ideas, Nuria Hernández of Clúster Canario de la Música and Diego Navarro of FIMUCITÉ, with Arturo Olea of Music Library & SFX as moderator.

Both panels will take place at the Salón Nivaria of the Hotel Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey. The sessions are open to industry professionals, media representatives and students, with in-person attendance subject to venue capacity.
