MIA 2026 Launches European Investment Hub

MIA 2026 Launches European Investment Hub
The 12th edition of MIA – Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo opened in Rome on Monday, October 19, bringing together international producers, distributors, broadcasters, streamers and investors for five days of industry events, co-production meetings and networking opportunities.

Running until October 23 across several prestigious venues in Rome, including Palazzo Barberini and the Westin Excelsior, the market is organised by ANICA and APA under the direction of Gaia Tridente.

One of the opening day's major highlights was the launch of the European Investment Hub, a new platform connecting audiovisual professionals with financial institutions and investors. The opening session at Palazzo Barberini welcomed representatives from the European Commission, the European Investment Fund, CineRegio and Eurimages to discuss new financing opportunities for Europe's creative industries.

Another important announcement came from APA, which proposed the creation of an Italian Investment Fund for the Audiovisual Sector, designed to strengthen independent production companies, attract investment and support international growth.
