Warner Bros. International Television Production has announced that Spain will become the second international territory to adapt the mental health format Inside Therapy. The local version, Terapia Abierta, is being produced by WBITVP Spain for Spanish public broadcaster RTVE.

For the first time on Spanish television, Terapia Abierta will give audiences access to real therapy sessions, following experienced mental health professionals as they support individuals navigating personal challenges and everyday situations. Filmed under strict clinical and ethical protocols, the format explores issues including anxiety, grief, trauma, relationships and personal growth through real-life stories.
Originally created by Twenty Twenty, a WBITVP company, and launched on BBC One in the UK, Inside Therapy was also adapted by France 2 in 2025. Both versions received strong audience and critical responses for their portrayal of therapy and mental wellbeing, helping reduce the stigma surrounding mental health conversations.
The Spanish adaptation will also focus on awareness and education, aiming to normalise discussions around therapy and emotional wellbeing. The series places emphasis on empathy, trust and emotional authenticity, while providing a safe environment for participants to openly explore their experiences alongside qualified clinical psychologists.
