Mediawan arrived at this year’s Cannes Film Festival with nine films in competition, among the highlights, Fatherland, produced by Our Films, earned one of the festival’s top honors with the Best Director Award.
Directed by Paweł Pawlikowski, Fatherland is produced by MUBI, Our Films (a Mediawan company), Extreme Emotions, Nine Hours and Chapter 2 (a Mediawan company), co-produced by Circle One and Apocalypso Pictures, with the participation of Pathé and Arte, and distributed by MUBI and Pathé Distribution, in association with Entourage Pictures (a company of Entourage Ventures).
In a note the group said: "This collaboration is part of the strategic partnership established with Entourage Ventures following the agreement signed with Our Films and MUBI to develop and produce ambitious European films with international reach. This distinction marks a new milestone for Our Films, the production company founded by Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Mieli, created in 2024 within the Mediawan Group, producer, among others, of Feel My Voice, the Italian adaptation of La Famille Bélier, as well as Portobello, Marco Bellocchio’s series distributed worldwide on HBO Max."
