Netflix has officially started production on Physical 100: Sweden, the Swedish adaptation of the global competition format, currently filming in Sandviken. The series will premiere globally on Netflix in 2027. Produced by Meter Entertainment, part of Banijay Nordic, the series has just unveiled its 100 contestants, following an extensive casting process that saw more than 1,300 applicants and over 450 casting interviews across Sweden.
The lineup brings together elite athletes, professionals and public figures from across the country, including global swimming champions Sarah Sjöström and Therese Alshammar, UFC fighter Alexander Gustafsson, Olympic alpine skier André Myhrer, artist Daniel Adams-Ray, parkour athlete Miranda Tibbling, boxer Mikaela Laurén, calisthenics athletes Simon Imhäuser and Malin Migdal Flefil, actor Björn Bengtsson, and influencers Hissy Elhissy and Ludwig Blomqvist.
Across the competition, 100 contestants aged 20 to 57 will face a series of physically and mentally demanding challenges testing strength, endurance, courage, teamwork and resilience, with only one winner taking home the grand prize of 1 million SEK.
