On May 13, TAICCA will host the Taiwan immersive showcase at the Carlton Hotel, transforming a 450-square-meter black box venue into an advanced five-surface projection environment. The showcase will feature internationally recognized immersive works including Dark rooms, Drift in time and Modern times, alongside projects supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture and TAICCA’s co-production initiatives such as To hell with me, Sensory concerto: The seasons and The immersive carnival of the animals.
Together, the lineup reflects the diversity and creative ambition of Taiwan’s immersive sector.TAICCA is also actively supporting the development of Taiwan’s immersive ecosystem through industry-focused initiatives. On the opening day of Cannes, the agency will organize a Pitching Workshop in collaboration with Cannes Immersive, designed to provide Taiwanese creators with strategic insights into international market trends and project development.
The participating companies span both production and exhibition sectors. Production partners include VIVE Arts, NAXS Studio, Serendipity Films Ltd., MISH: Arts & Creative Experiences Agency and Hello World. Participating immersive venues include Moondream Reality Co., Ltd., the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (VR Gallery), Kaohsiung Film Archive (VR Film Lab) and Mediasphere Communications Ltd. (XR PLAYHOUSE), demonstrating the increasing maturity and international competitiveness of Taiwan’s XR industry chain.TAICCA is further expanding its international partnerships through a series of curated networking events.
During SPOTLIGHT ASIA on May 17, the agency will meet with global producers and organizations to promote co-production opportunities and introduce the Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF). Additional meetings throughout Cannes will connect Taiwanese companies with key international organizations including Ontario Creates, the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), the New Zealand Film Commission, Proimágenes Colombia, Cinema Chile, the German Federal Film Board and the Red Sea Souk.Among the key networking events is Happy hour: Taiwan Hodala on May 15, designed to facilitate collaboration and business exchanges between Taiwanese professionals and international buyers.At the Taiwan Pavilion, a curated lineup of market-ready productions highlights the breadth of Taiwan’s current audiovisual output. Featured titles include the Taiwan–Japan romantic co-production Sinsin and the mouse, directed by Yukinori Makabe and starring Yukino Kishii and Tseng Jing-hua; the animated feature Welcome to Dolly’s house, selected as the opening film of the Contrechamp Competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival; and A ghost in the market, a female-led genre project blending horror, monsters and zombie elements, recipient of both the HAF-Kantana Award and the Red Sea Fund Award.
