Eleven years after its last season, I Cesaroni – Il ritorno is set to premiere on Canale 5. The new season will launch on April 13 in primetime, spanning six nights for a total of twelve episodes. Produced by Publispei, the series marks the return of one of Italy’s most fictional titles, which over the years has built a broad, cross-generational audience.
The story resumes with a time jump, following the characters as they navigate new responsibilities and life stages. Giulio is approaching retirement and begins to question the future of the family’s historic wine shop, while Marco faces a new chapter in his personal life. Around them, a network of relationships has evolved, balancing long-standing dynamics with new characters set to reshape the group. While maintaining the warm, family-driven tone that defined the original series, the new season also introduces more mature narrative elements.
The cast sees the return of key original members, including Claudio Amendola—who also directs—alongside Matteo Branciamore, Ludovico Fremont, Elda Alvigini, Niccolò Centioni and Federico Russo. They are joined by new additions such as Lucia Ocone, Ricky Memphis and Marta Filippi, contributing to a refreshed narrative universe. The new season will also carry the memory of Antonello Fassari, a central figure in the original series.
Season seven of I Cesaroni – Il ritorno was previewed at the Italian Global Series Festival 2025, where first footage from the new episodes officially opened the event on June 21 in Rimini.
