SLL Expands Global Presence Through Multi-Platform Content Strategy

Korea-based SLL continues to strengthen its global footprint in the first quarter of 2026, executing a multi-platform content strategy that spans theatrical releases, global OTT platforms, and linear television. At the box office, The King’s Warden has surpassed 15 million cumulative admissions, maintaining a strong and sustained performance in Korea. Widely praised through word-of-mouth—captured in the phrase, “You enter as an audience member and leave as one of the people”—the film recounts the story of the dethroned King Danjong, Lee Hong-wi (Park Ji-hoon). Set during his final days in exile at Cheongnyeongpo in Yeongwol, the narrative focuses on the meaningful relationships he forms with local villagers. Since its release, the film has continued to attract steady audiences, demonstrating remarkable longevity in theaters.

On the television front, JTBC’s upcoming weekend drama We Are All Trying Here is emerging as one of the most highly anticipated titles of the first half of 2026. The series centers on individuals grappling with inadequacy as they seek meaning and emotional balance in their lives. At its core are Hwang Dong-man (Koo Kyo-hwan), who has spent two decades preparing for his film debut, and Byun Eun-ah (Go Youn-jung), a producer capable of seeing beyond societal expectations.Through their encounter, the drama explores how two emotionally vulnerable individuals gradually become each other’s refuge, offering a nuanced narrative of connection, healing, and quiet reassurance. Written by Park Hae-young and directed by Cha Young-hoon, the series blends poetic storytelling with a warm humanistic approach, delivering a deeply resonant portrayal of contemporary life and emotional resilience.Backed by a compelling narrative and high production values, The King’s Warden further reinforces the enduring appeal of historical drama. The film was co-produced by SLL’s label BA Entertainment, contributing to its elevated production quality.

Beyond individual titles, SLL continues to expand its international reach through a diversified content slate across platforms. The Art of Sarah, released globally on Netflix, ranked No. 1 in the Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows, underscoring the company’s strength in genre storytelling. This success was followed by Climax, distributed via ENA and Disney+, which also achieved the No. 1 position on Disney+.
Romance titles have similarly demonstrated strong global traction. JTBC’s Still Shining entered the Netflix Global Top 10 shortly after launch, while The Practical Guide to Love has maintained a Top 10 presence across multiple platforms, including HBO Max, Disney+, and Viki.
