Rai 1 will broadcast on Monday March 9 in prime time the legal drama series  Guerrieri – The Rule of Balance, a four-episode produced by Rai Fiction and Rai Com in collaboration with Combo International and Bartlebyfilm,  directed by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli and stars Alessandro Gassmann in the role of lawyer Guido Guerrieri.

The series is freely adapted from the novels Ragionevoli dubbi, Le perfezioni provvisorie (published by Sellerio Editore) and La regola dell’equilibrio (published by Giulio Einaudi Editore) written by acclaimed Italian author and former magistrate Gianrico Carofiglio, who also serves as screenwriter on the project.

Guido Guerrieri is a brilliant and successful lawyer, yet deeply restless. Every case he takes becomes personal, pushing him to question rules, conventions and even his own certainties. His empathy is both his greatest professional strength and his most dangerous vulnerability.
A passionate amateur boxer and still nostalgic for the love he once shared with his wife Sara—whom he is now separating from—Guerrieri is a complex protagonist navigating the fragile balance between justice, emotion and personal turmoil.

Set in an unusual and often nocturnal Bari, the series follows Guerrieri as he tackles a series of challenging legal cases, combining analytical sharpness with emotional sensitivity and remarkable courtroom eloquence.

Alongside Guerrieri stands a group of allies who support his investigations and legal battles. These include Carmelo Tancredi, a trusted and skilled police inspector played by Michele Venitucci; Annapaola, portrayed by Ivana Lotito, a former crime reporter who has reinvented herself as a fearless private investigator; and Consuelo, a talented trainee lawyer played by Lea Gavino.

Completing the team is Toni, the new intern at Guerrieri’s law firm, played by Michele Ragno—pathologically distracted yet surprisingly brilliant and unpredictable.
