Something Special, the Seoul-based international format agency, has announced its lineup for MIP London, headlined by the debut of "Suspicious Guesthouse: An Unforgettable Trip". This new title is a spinoff of the successful reality music series "Unforgettable Duet", which achieved high pay-tv ratings during its broadcast on MBN.
The agency’s sales team, represented by Hayoung Rhee and Courtney Boyett, will present the slate as part of the KOCCA delegation, with a dedicated showcase scheduled for Sunday, February 22.
"Suspicious Guesthouse: An Unforgettable Trip" follows participants from the original series who are living with dementia. In this format, they transition from the stage to managing a guesthouse, welcoming their own families for a vacation. Led by celebrity owners Ko Woo-ri and Park Kyung-ho, the series documents the managers as they prepare meals and plan surprises, exploring how society can better support those with memory loss while highlighting that the condition can mark the start of a new, positive chapter.
In addition to the "Unforgettable Duet" franchise, Something Special is taking a diverse catalog to the market, including the military competition "Iron Squad", the comedy travel series "Hit & Miss Tour", the transformational reality show "Make Me Glow", and the spooky competition "Still Alive".
Jin Woo Hwang, President & Executive Producer, and InSoon Kim, EVP & Head of Content, stated: “Something Special is continually striving to bring the best and most innovative Korean formats to the global marketplace. We are especially excited to debut ‘Suspicious Guesthouse’, which is a fun, lighter spinoff of our more heartwarming successful show ‘Unforgettable Duet’. Hayoung and Courtney will be representing at MIP London to showcase our entire available catalogue, and buyers are sure to find great Formats for their territories in our diverse slate.”
