Iberseries & Platino Industria has revealed new details of its conference programme for its sixth edition, highlighting the transformation of the audiovisual business, innovation strategies and the growing international potential of local stories. Among the key announcements are keynote sessions featuring José Antonio Antón, General Manager of Atresmedia, and Javiera Balmaceda and Nicole Morganti from Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, who will discuss how companies are adapting their strategies to a rapidly evolving global market.
Antón will deliver the keynote Constant Transformation: The Secret Behind Atresmedia’s Success, exploring the group’s approach to innovation and its strategy for strengthening its position in an increasingly competitive audiovisual landscape. The executive will examine how Atresmedia has evolved its content model by integrating traditional broadcasting with the digital ecosystem of atresplayer, maximizing the value and reach of its productions. The session will also address the importance of international partnerships with companies including Disney+, Netflix, ViX, ZDF and ITV, and how these collaborations have contributed to expanding the global presence of Spanish productions while increasing creative ambition and commercial opportunities.
The international potential of local content will also be a central topic in the session Amazon MGM Studios: Connection — Local Stories with Global Impact, featuring Javiera Balmaceda, Head of International Originals for Latin America, Canada and Australia at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, and Nicole Morganti, Head of International Originals for Italy and Southern Europe at Prime Video. The two executives will share insights into the company’s strategy for discovering and developing stories rooted in local cultures with the ability to connect with audiences worldwide. The conversation will explore how Amazon MGM Studios balances regional authenticity with universal storytelling elements, a strategy that has supported Prime Video’s international expansion.
The session will also include a preview of upcoming productions and a look at the studio’s vision for the evolution of the audiovisual market towards 2027, including opportunities for the continued international growth of Spanish- and Portuguese-language content.
Alongside the conference programme, Iberseries & Platino Industria has extended by one week the application deadline for initiatives including the new Euro Atlantic Series Co-Pro Pitch, the Co-Production and Financing Forum, the Showrunners Workshop and the workshop Thinking Like a Producer: Creative Business Strategy. The organization has also announced reduced Early Bird rates for professional accreditations.
