BBC Studios Confirms Global Deals from the Nordics to the Seychelles
Ahead of its 50th annual Showcase event (23-24 February 2026), BBC Studios has confirmed its highly sought-after content is set to reach audiences from the Nordics to the Seychelles through agile deal-making with global partners.

Reflecting findings from the recent PACT survey which found that catalogue sales continue to play a significant role in UK TV exports (around 44% of sales in 2025), BBC Studios has secured its biggest ever mixed-genre package with the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC). SBC have opted for a comprehensive selection of titles comprising of scripted titles such as The Jetty, kids and family series Horrible Science, and gameshows The Weakest Link and Bridge of Lies. Programmes will air across its free-to-air channels SBC1 and SBC2, expanding BBC Studios’ footprint across the Indian Ocean region.

BBC Studios have also extended their almost two-decade partnership with HRT (Croatia's Public Broadcaster) for catalogue and front list titles across scripted, unscripted and kids & family genre. Pre-selected titles range from returnable crime drama hits Unforgotten, Silent Witness, Chelsea Detective, and Sister Boniface and unscripted favourites Fake or Fortune? and Where the Wild Men Are with Ben Fogle to kids and family global phenomenon Bluey.

The bold and unique storytelling of BBC Studios’ scripted slate continues to capture the attention of buyers with Warner Bros. Discovery Nordics acquiring a selection of BBC Studios’ most iconic drama titles for the Nordics region, including long-running fan favourites Silent Witness and the original series’ of Inspector Lynley.

Meanwhile Spain’s Filmin have selected thriller The North Water starring Jack O’ Connell and Colin Farrell, Small Axe, the BAFTA award-winning film series from Sir Steve McQueen, and documentary Inside No.9: The Party’s Over which goes behind the scenes of the final series of one of TV's darkest comedies.

Deepening their long-standing partnership with BBC Studios through back catalogue agreements, Sky Italia will be offering Italian audiences a wide range of unscripted programming. Natural history titles selected includes Big Cats 24/7 (Series 1 & 2) which follows a group of African big cats, day and night, for six months, Attenborough and the Jurassic Sea Monster which sees Sir David and a group of forensic experts make discovery of a lifetime, and Changing Planet (Series 1 & 2) which charts our world's most threatened ecosystems and the hope of groundbreaking solutions. Further unscripted programming highlights includes epic adventure series’ Wilderness with Simon Reeve and Scandinavia with Simon Reeve, and Simon Schama: Road to Auschwitz which sees the historian make a deeply personal and profoundly moving journey to Auschwitz.

In North America Prime Video has acquired a mix of BBC Studios Kids & Family titles for a new upcoming curated rail, “Learning With BBC”, designed to support preschool and early-years development through storytelling that encourages teamwork, friendship, communication, and creativity. The deal includes the US premieres of Funny Talking Animals (S1) alongside BAFTA-winning animated favourites, Hey Duggee (S1–2) and Sarah and Duck (S1). Audiences will also enjoy Deadly 60 (S1), Dinopaws (S1), Go Jetters (S1-2), Kit and Pup (S1), Roots and Fruits (S1-2), and Yakka Dee (S1-7).
