Talpa Studios Teams With Studio Lambert on New Psychological Game Format The Golden Elevators
Talpa Studios is launching "The Golden Elevators", a new high-stakes psychological game format, with Studio Lambert set to co-produce local versions in the U.S. and the UK.

Created by Talpa Studios’ creative team led by Chief Creative Officer Jasper Hoogendoorn, the format marks a new collaboration between Talpa Studios and Studio Lambert, reuniting the partners behind the U.S. and UK adaptations of the hit format "The Traitors".

Jasper Hoogendoorn, CCO at Talpa Studios, said: “This outstanding new format combines quiz and strategy elements with a gripping psychological layer and a strong, simple visual identity. Add our HUB strategy and the reunion with Stephen and his team, and you’re truly aiming for the top. John, Stephen and I all believe in deceptively simple ideas that create genuine psychological depth and global appeal, and this powerful collaboration provides a strong platform to bring the format to the international market.”

Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert, added: “The last time we collaborated with Jasper the result was the US and UK versions of 'The Traitors', which have been spectacularly successful on both sides of the Atlantic. We think we have lightning in a bottle for the second time with 'The Golden Elevators', a show that combines the joy of a quiz with a psychological drama of trust and betrayal. We can’t wait to find the right home for it in America and Britain.”

High-Stakes Quiz

"The Golden Elevators" blends quiz mechanics with social strategy and psychological tension. Ten contestants start the game together in the lobby of a towering skyscraper, all aiming to reach the top floor and secure a rolling jackpot that begins at $100,000 and can increase significantly throughout the game.

Each round opens with a trivia question offering two possible answers, each tied to a different, visually striking elevator. While the choice appears simple, contestants are encouraged to debate and influence one another before committing. Once decisions are locked in, one elevator ascends toward the prize, while the other plummets—instantly eliminating all players inside.

The format will be produced at Talpa Studios’ international production hub in Belgium and distributed by Talpa Studios.
