PBS Distribution Taps Top Factual Talent for Flagship Showcase at London TV Screenings
PBS Distribution will return to the London TV Screenings this February with a high-profile factual showcase, bringing together three leading voices in documentary storytelling: Bettany Hughes, Lynn Novick and Dan Chambers. The event will offer international buyers an exclusive first look at a slate of ambitious new documentary projects set to anchor the company’s 2026 global sales lineup.

The showcase will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Curzon in Soho, and will present a curated selection of premium factual titles spanning history, science, culture and contemporary social issues. The initiative reinforces PBS Distribution’s long-standing commitment to delivering globally resonant, editorially rigorous content backed by trusted journalism and expert storytelling.

Attendees will receive early access to several key titles, including:

“Vikings: First Blood” (w.t), presented by renowned historian and broadcaster Bettany Hughes. The documentary offers a vivid and human exploration of the origins of Viking society, drawing on new archaeological discoveries, including the Salme Ship Burial, to reveal the story of a high-stakes expedition that ended in tragedy.

“Crime and Punishment in America”, presented by acclaimed documentarian Lynn Novick. The series delivers a multi-layered examination of the evolution of the U.S. justice system, exploring enduring questions around crime, punishment and justice with relevance far beyond American borders.

“Mystery of the First Temple”, presented by Dan Chambers, which explores Göbekli Tepe, the world’s oldest known temple. Built around 9,500 BC and predating both civilisation and Stonehenge, the project examines new discoveries that shed light on early human settlement and the eventual abandonment of this ancient site.

“This showcase represents the very best of PBS Distribution’s factual programming,” said Joe Barrett, Vice President of Global Sales at PBS Distribution. “With Bettany, Lynn and Dan involved, we are delighted to offer international buyers a first look at content that informs, engages and inspires. This year’s lineup reflects our continued investment in globally relevant factual storytelling that meets the needs of broadcasters and platforms worldwide.”

In addition to these flagship projects, PBS Distribution will also preview a broader range of upcoming factual programming from across its acclaimed catalogue, underlining its focus on premium content with strong international appeal.
