Series Match: Germany & Ibero-America Launches at Berlinale Series Market 2026
Series Match: Germany & Ibero-America is a new initiative launched by Iberseries & Platino Industria in partnership with the Berlinale Series Market, aimed at fostering international collaboration and the early-stage development of series projects between Germany and Ibero-America.

Ten production companies from both territories have been selected to take part in the programme, which is designed to encourage creative exchange and co-production opportunities across borders. The initiative will take place on February 16 as part of Berlinale Series Market 2026, bringing together five companies from each region at the Studio Babelsberg Lounge at CinemaxX.

Each participating company will present an early-stage series project, supported by a series of curated professional meetings designed to facilitate creative dialogue and the formation of strategic partnerships.

The selected Ibero-American production companies are Boutique Filmes and Movioca (Brazil), Alterna Media (Uruguay), Villano (Chile) and Funicular Films (Spain). Representing Germany are Zeitsprung, UFA, SKP Entertainment, Studio Zentral and Beta Film.

The projects selected for Series Match include "Seven Women" (Boutique Filmes); "Abuse" (Federation, Ojo Films & Alterna Media); "Callback" (Funicular Films & Left Tackle Films); "Assassin in Paradise" (Movioca & Ginga Studios); "Scorched Earth" (Villano); "Driven Hunt – The Other Truth" / The Runaway" (SKP Entertainment); "Wetlands" (UFA Fiction); and "Monika – Victory or Death" (Zeitsprung Pictures, Mariawood Producciones & Fine Time Filmproduktion).

With this new curated format, Series Match: Germany & Ibero-America positions itself as a key platform for the creation of creative synergies, the development of innovative proposals and the advancement of cross-border storytelling with global potential.

The initiative further strengthens ties between the German and Ibero-American audiovisual markets, opening up new opportunities for international co-productions in the series sector.
