FIFTH SEASON Drives Global Sales for CBC Original Saint-Pierre
FIFTH SEASON has closed a strong slate of international deals for the first season of "Saint-Pierre", the police procedural produced by Hawco Productions and commissioned by CBC in Canada, marking a significant global rollout for the series.

The 10x45’ first season stars Josephine Jobert ("Death in Paradise"), Allan Hawco ("Republic of Doyle") and James Purefoy ("Rome"), and premiered in Canada on CBC and CBC Gem in winter 2025. The series quickly emerged as CBC’s most-watched show of 2025 and ranked among the top Canadian dramas nationwide. CBC has since launched season two of "Saint-Pierre" (12x45’) on January 5, 2026.

International broadcasters acquiring the first season through FIFTH SEASON include UKTV in the UK, France Televisions in France, ABC in Australia, Disney across Belgium and Eastern Europe, Quebecor Content in French Canada, FreeTV in Israel, Sky in New Zealand, and BBC Studios, which will air the series on BBC NL in the Netherlands and BBC First in Poland.

Produced by Hawco Productions in association with FIFTH SEASON, which also handles global distribution for both seasons, "Saint-Pierre" continues to gain momentum with buyers worldwide. Ava Knight, Director of Acquisitions at FIFTH SEASON, commented: “'Saint-Pierre' is a cleverly crafted detective drama, that feels both singular and familiar. Its enigmatic and picturesque location provides a fresh backdrop for a European-style cop show with a distinctly Canadian twist. The series is anchored by a fish-out-of-water detective duo whose warmth and humour bring to life the sharply written cases and intricate storylines that make each week’s mystery irresistible. The show has been a huge success for CBC in its home territory, and we can’t wait to introduce the magnetic duo of Fitz and Arch to audiences around the world.”

Created by Allan Hawco, Robina Lord-Stafford and Perry Chafe, with Hawco and Lord-Stafford serving as showrunners, the series also stars Benz Antoine ("Four Brothers"), Erika Prevost ("The Boys") and Jean-Michel Le Gal ("Paris Paris").

Set in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, a remote French territory in the North Atlantic just off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada, "Saint-Pierre" follows Inspector Donny ‘Fitz’ Fitzpatrick, a detective exiled to the islands after uncovering corruption involving a local politician. His arrival unsettles Deputy Chief Geneviève ‘Arch’ Archambault, a Parisian officer with her own reasons for being stationed there. Despite initial mistrust, the pair are forced to work together to solve crimes in a seemingly tranquil community where appearances conceal a darker criminal undercurrent.
