A new Turkish romantic drama is set to win the hearts of Canale 5's daytime audience. Starting Monday, August 4, If You Love (Ya Çok Seversen) will air Monday to Friday at 15:15, nestled between the popular series Forbidden Fruit and Io sono Farah.
Produced by Ay Yapım in 2023 and distributed internationally by MADD Entertainment, If You Love arrives in Italy with 40 episodes of 45 minutes, adapted from its original 13 episodes of 130 minutes as aired in Türkiye. Although not a premiere title for Italian audiences—having already been fully released on Mediaset Infinity—Canale 5 has strategically chosen to broadcast the series to fill the afternoon slot, ensuring a balanced programming flow without exhausting the episodes of its other Turkish dramas (dizi).
The series follows the compelling story of Ateş Arcali, a cynical heir from a wealthy Istanbul family, who has spent most of his life detached and disillusioned, shaped by a childhood in boarding schools after his mother’s untimely death. On the other side is Leyla, a vibrant and resilient young woman who has never known her biological family and survives by orchestrating fake marriage scams with a team of con artists.
Their worlds collide by chance, and while their first meeting is marked by mutual distrust—Leyla dismisses Ateş as an arrogant playboy, while Ateş sees her as a petty swindler—fate soon intervenes, forcing them to work together. Leyla is hired as a nanny for Ateş's estranged step-siblings following the sudden death of his father, setting off a chain of events that will challenge their beliefs about trust, family, and love.
Amidst a backdrop of Istanbul’s high society and the intricate schemes of professional fraudsters, If You Love weaves a story where two damaged souls, seemingly from different worlds, discover that love can be a powerful force of healing. As Leyla’s radiant personality chips away at Ateş’s defenses, their reluctant partnership evolves into a genuine emotional connection.
