Italy is ready to prove its strength on the world stage with Physical Italia: da 100 a 1, the local adaptation of Netflix’s hit series Physical: 100. Produced by Endemol Shine Italy, the show transforms raw athleticism and mental toughness into an epic spectacle where 100 contenders battle to be crowned the ultimate champion. To win, contestants must possess a rare combination of power, endurance, agility, audacity, courage, and leadership. Each trial is designed to push both the body and mind to the breaking point, testing not only physical skill but also the ability to stay calm under pressure, work as a team, and outthink the competition. Like modern gladiators, participants will fight through a relentless series of challenges—yet only one will remain standing.
Netflix has released two official images to give a first glimpse of the show’s dramatic tone. One captures all 100 competitors assembled in the iconic “Hall of Busts,” the symbolic heart of the game. The casting process was as intense as the competition itself. Over 1,000 athletes were approached, leading to 187 Zoom auditions—totaling more than 130 hours—and 137 in-person final selections. Contestants range from 22 to 60 years old, with backgrounds as diverse as triathlon, wrestling, American football, skeleton, Hyrox, and even the historic Calcio Storico Fiorentino.
