Rainbow announces the imminent launch of its new animated production Mermaid Magic. This eagerly awaited news comes on the occasion of World Oceans Day, celebrated on June 8.
Created by Iginio Straffi himself and entirely produced by Rainbow Studios, Mermaid Magic boasts an excellent artistic team. The brand-new series is aimed at the 9-12 age group, although Rainbow is preparing to reach teen and young adult audiences as well. The first season will be available on Netflix worldwide starting next August.
Mermaid Magic consists of 10 episodes of 24' each, combining captivating stories and high-quality animation with spectacular CGI effects. The series is an extraordinary mix of magic, colors, action, humor, and strong emotions, focusing on themes such as the importance of environmental conservation and demonstrating that the power of friendship knows no bounds.
The series is a fantasy adventure that takes us into the underwater world of Mertropia, to live the story of mermaid princess Merlinda and her inseparable friends Sasha and Nerissa, two warrior mermaids who embark on an epic journey to the surface world to complete the most important mission of all: saving the kingdom from the evil pirate Barbarossa, determined to destroy the forces of the sea with the help of his fearsome Sea Monsters.
