Blue Ant Media is heading to MIPCOM with a slate of more than 45 new and returning titles spanning premium documentaries, true crime, history, factual entertainment, science, natural history and other high-demand genres. Leading the lineup is the previously announced feature documentary The Trial of Alec Baldwin (1 x 120’; Moxie Films), directed by Rory Kennedy. The film follows Alec Baldwin through the personal and legal fallout from the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust, examining the tragedy, his involuntary manslaughter trial and the media scrutiny surrounding the case.
The slate also includes true-crime documentaries Billion Dollar Hash Hunt (3 x 60’; Alibi) and The Poison Seller (1 x 60’; Blue Ant Studios), alongside factual and history titles including South America with Levison Wood (4 x 60’; Blackmane Media), Bettany Hughes’s Lost Worlds: Dawn of Civilisations (2 x 60’; SandStone Global) and How to Survive History (8 x 60’; Blue Ant Studios).
Returning franchises include Killers: Caught on Camera Season 5 (10 x 60’; back2back), See No Evil Season 2 (13 x 60’; Arrow Media), The Jury: Murder Trial Seasons 3 and 4 (8 x 60’; ScreenDog Productions), Northwoods Survival Season 3 (16 x 60’; Blue Ant Studios) and Engineering From Above Season 2 (8 x 60’; Blue Ant Studios).
Natural-history programming is also represented by titles including Life On the Edge (3 x 60’; Passion Pictures) for Love Nature and Deep in the Heart 2: Texas Rivers (1 x 96’; Fin and Fur Productions) for Love Nature, narrated by Ethan Hawke.
