Dandelooo Launches Teen and Young Adult Animation Division with Two New Comedies
Emmy Award-winning French animation production and distribution company Dandelooo is expanding into teen and young adult content with the launch of a new dedicated division, debuting with two original comedy series, Apocalypse Mojito and Armageddon Pizza. The move marks a new step in the company’s growth as Dandelooo builds on its established track record in preschool and children’s animation to target older audiences. The new division will focus on distinctive, creator-driven projects combining strong storytelling with fresh comedic voices.

“Following the success of Lastman (Everybody on Deck), my colleagues Jean-Baptiste Wéry, Gennarino Romano and I have been looking for the next great 12+ animated series. We are thrilled to kick off this new department with two absurd comedies that tackle eco-anxiety in a fun way and are delighted to be working with the very talented studios JSBC and Passion Paris,” said Emmanuèle Pétry, Partner & Producer at Dandelooo.

The first title, Apocalypse Mojito, is produced by French animation studio Passion Paris, part of Academy Award-winning production company Passion Pictures, and directed by Julien Seze. The 10 x 7-minute 2D animated comedy is now complete and ready for delivery.Set in the year 2100, the series follows Yolo and Wazo, two friends travelling from village to city with their mobile guinguette, a typically French open-air café and dance floor, bringing entertainment and good humour wherever they go.By then, civilisation has collapsed, climate change has devastated the planet and technology has evolved in unexpected directions. Humanity, however, appears to have learned very little. Through its dystopian setting, Apocalypse Mojito takes a satirical look at contemporary behaviour, with Yolo and Wazo encountering increasingly absurd examples of human ingenuity — and stupidity — as people continue finding new ways to damage what remains of the world.

Also currently in production is Armageddon Pizza (26 x 13’), produced by French animation studio Je Suis Bien Content and directed by Aurélien Bouillon and Fabien Limousin. The comedy is set in a fictional but strangely familiar world hit by an unprecedented health crisis: the dead have returned to life — and they are hungry. As survivors remain confined to their homes amid the ruins of their cities, they turn to comfort food and entertainment. In Paris, three minimum-wage delivery drivers working for Armageddon Pizza head out on homemade scooters under the management of Didier, Barbara, Quentin and Paul. Their mission is simple but dangerous: deliver pizzas on time across a city overrun by zombies.

With the launch of its teen and young adult division, Dandelooo is broadening its portfolio with original comedy and distinctive storytelling aimed at older demographics. The company said the new label will champion emerging creative voices while combining its production and distribution expertise with stories designed to resonate with contemporary teens and young adults.

Dandelooo will introduce Apocalypse Mojito and Armageddon Pizza to international buyers at MIPCOM 2026.
