The Venice Production Bridge has unveiled the 66 projects selected for the 13th edition of the Venice Gap-Financing Market, which will take place from September 4-6 during the 83rd Venice International Film Festival (September 2-12). Organised with the support of the European Commission’s MEDIA Programme, the three-day co-production market will bring together projects in the final stages of development with international financiers, producers, distributors, sales agents, broadcasters, streamers, VoD platforms, banks, institutions and post-production companies through a series of one-to-one meetings.
More than 370 projects were submitted for consideration this year, with the final selection highlighting a broad range of countries, genres, budgets and creative approaches. The 2026 lineup includes 38 feature film projects, 14 immersive works, 11 Biennale College Cinema – Immersive projects and three Biennale College Cinema projects. Greece and Switzerland have been named as this year's VPB Focus countries, supported respectively by the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Centre and Swiss Films.
Among the 38 feature projects, 31 are fiction films — including 20 from Europe and 11 from the rest of the world — while seven are documentary projects, comprising two European titles and five international productions. All projects have secured at least 70% of their financing and are seeking minority co-production partners to complete their funding structures.
The Venice Gap-Financing Market has become one of the industry's leading co-production platforms, connecting producers and directors with key international decision-makers to facilitate financing and international partnerships. Meetings will take place at the Hotel Excelsior and Venice Immersive Island, with appointments coordinated through the Venice Production Bridge platform.
