Monte-Carlo Television Festival To Honour Kurt Russell and Kristin Scott Thomas With Crystal Nymph Award
The Monte-Carlo Television Festival has named Kurt Russell and Kristin Scott Thomas as recipients of its prestigious Crystal Nymph Award, to be presented during the event’s 65th edition, running from June 12–16, 2026 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. Their participation is set to be one of the highlights of this milestone edition, offering both industry professionals and audiences the opportunity to celebrate two globally recognized talents in the Festival’s distinctive and intimate setting.
"We are thrilled to honour Kurt Russell and Dame Kristin Scott Thomas. Their exceptional careers, spanning both film and television, perfectly reflect the artistic excellence and international perspective. These awards celebrate two remarkable talents who have made a lasting impact on the global audiovisual landscape", stated Cécile Menoni, Executive Director of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

Kristin Scott Thomas will be honoured during the Opening Ceremony on June 12. Widely regarded as one of the most respected Franco-British actresses of her generation, she has built a distinguished career across film, theatre and television. Most recently seen in the acclaimed series Slow Horses, she continues to take on high-end television projects while expanding her creative scope. “I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition in Monaco, a place that has long celebrated artistic excellence with such grace,” said Dame Kristine Scott Thomas.

Kurt Russell will receive his award during the Closing Ceremony on June 16. A long-standing figure in American film and television, Russell began his career on the small screen through productions with The Walt Disney Company before becoming a major Hollywood presence. He has recently returned to television with Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and will next appear in the highly anticipated series The Madison, underlining his continued involvement in major global productions. “It is a great honor to be selected for this distinguished award, and I very much look forward to spending time with His Serene Highness Prince Albert. It has been a long time,” declared Kurt Russell.

Both awards will be presented by Albert II, Prince of Monaco, underscoring the prestige of the honour and the Festival’s longstanding role in celebrating leading figures of the international television landscape.
