Lineup Industries has secured a deal with Denmark’s public broadcaster DR for the family-focused reality format "The Will", which launched earlier this month with a strong debut performance.

Produced locally by Laud People and based on an original concept from NRK, the series premiered on DR with its first episode ranking fifth among the most-watched programmes in Denmark that week. The format explores the complex and often taboo subject of inheritance, addressing potential conflict and difficult conversations within families—while all parties are still alive.

The format follows families who decide to put their affairs in order while they are still in good health. Through guided discussions, they confront how property, money and valued possessions should be distributed, taking into account emotions, relationships and the wishes of all family members. Supported by an experienced inheritance lawyer and a host who steers the process, families work through disagreements in search of solutions that balance family harmony with respect for parental wishes.
