The Kids Content Summit @ Content Europe continues to build momentum with the addition of senior executives from BBC, Shaw Rocket Fund, WildBrain and Animation UK. Newly confirmed speakers include Sarah Muller (BBC), Agnes Augustin (Shaw Rocket Fund), Kate Smith (WildBrain) and Kate O’Connor (Animation UK), joining a broader roster of leading buyers, executives and creators from the global kids content sector.
The Summit will feature a dedicated kids marketplace pavilion alongside a conference track spotlighting key industry voices. Sessions will address commissioning priorities, creator-led storytelling, digital-first and shortform strategies, evolving audience engagement models, and the growing role of AI in shaping the future of children’s content.
Sarah Muller, senior head of commissioning for seven-plus at BBC Children’s and Education, will share insights from her extensive experience across drama, animation, factual and entertainment for young audiences. Agnes Augustin, president and CEO of the Shaw Rocket Fund, will bring a funding and policy perspective, drawing on her leadership of Canada’s only independent fund dedicated to children’s and youth content.
Also speaking is Kate Smith, executive VP of audience engagement at WildBrain, who will explore the intersection of content distribution, digital marketing and fan engagement in an increasingly omni-platform environment. Rounding out the line-up, Kate O’Connor, executive chair of Animation UK, will offer a strategic view on policy, skills development and international growth for the animation sector.
Content Europe will take place in Lisbon from April 21–23, 2026, positioning itself as a cost-effective three-day market, conference and screenings event focused on sales, acquisitions and coproduction across formats, factual, drama and kids content. The programme includes three conference tracks — the Future Formats Forum, the Content Acquisitions Summit and the Kids Content Summit — each designed to uncover global trends, buyer priorities and new business opportunities, supported by insights from C21’s Content Strategies premium reports.
