Miraculous Corp, the joint venture between Mediawan and ZAG, today unveiled the creative team behind its upcoming Miraculous® theatrical feature.
Acclaimed producer John Cohen (Despicable Me, The Angry Birds Movie) and writer Matt Roller (Rick and Morty, Community) join Jeremy Zag, who will also serve as producer, for a bold new big-screen chapter in the Miraculous universe.
The announcement, made by Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp USA and Global Operations, coincides with the brand’s 10th anniversary. Since its debut in 2015, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir has become a global phenomenon—broadcast in over 150 countries, winning 40+ awards, and building a digital community of over 56 million followers across social platforms.
Zag and Pierre-Antoine Capton, CEO of Mediawan, said:“We are thrilled to open a new chapter for Miraculous on the big screen. With John Cohen and Matt Roller onboard, Ladybug and Cat Noir will reach new heights and captivate audiences worldwide.”
Yeatman added:“For a decade, Miraculous has celebrated courage, friendship, and compassion. John’s track record in global animation and Matt’s sharp storytelling will ensure our film both thrills and moves audiences.”
Cohen commented:“Few franchises have captured hearts like Miraculous. It’s an honor to help bring Ladybug and Cat Noir’s story to cinemas around the world.”
Roller noted:“Miraculous combines superhero spectacle with deeply human emotion—love, trust, hope. It’s a dream playground for storytelling.”
Cohen is currently producing The Angry Birds Movie 3 (Paramount, 2026) and recently produced The Garfield Movie (Sony). His credits include Despicable Me, Hop, Ice Age, and Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Roller created and runs Netflix’s Haunted Hotel (2025) and has written for Rick and Morty, Archer, The Goldbergs, Speechless, and Krapopolis.
