Banijay France’s B Prod Launches Suspenseful New Reality Format The Detective Club on W9
Banijay Entertainment introduces an  new addition to its unscripted slate with The Detective Club, a strategic reality format packed with suspense and intrigue. Produced by Banijay France’s B Prod—the creative force behind successful travelling formats The Fifty and Good Luck Guys—the show is set to premiere next month on W9. Blending mystery, strategy, and social gameplay, The Detective Club challenges contestants to solve complex puzzles and uncover hidden truths, promising viewers a gripping, edge-of-your-seat experience.
In The Detective Club, 18 celebrities are invited by a mysterious host. When the host’s beloved dog, Kiki, goes missing, the guests embark on a thrilling investigation to find the two culprits hidden among them. In this strategic game of deduction and deceit, the celebrities will have to collect clues and face interrogations to crack the case. Each episode ends in a dramatic showdown as contestants must name their prime suspect. However, the dog-nappers hold the power to eliminate a fellow player each round, and with €20,000 on the line, only the most cunning will make it to the end of this captivating and entertaining game show.

Florence Fayard, CEO, B Prod says: “Creativity is at the heart of B Prod’s DNA as seen in travelling hits like The Fifty and Good Luck Guys. We are proud to unveil our latest original format, The Detective Club, a show that blends strategy, humour and wit. Reminiscent of childhood games, the reality stars dive into a high-stakes investigation unlike any other. It’s a distinctly feel-good, suspense-filled show promising viewers a truly entertaining experience.”

James Townley, Chief Content Officer, Development, Banijay Entertainment adds: “The Detective Club delivers a bold new twist on reality TV, seamlessly blending mystery, strategy and deception into a fast-paced, binge-worthy format. With B Prod’s proven creative edge, this whodunit is set to become a standout addition to our slate, and we’re sure it will get the world’s buyers talking.”

The Detective Club joins B Prod’s premium non-scripted slate of global adaptations and locally-created hits, which have all sold internationally. This includes K7’s 2023 Rising Star format Good Luck Guys, with eight versions produced to date; The Fifty, which has been adapted for the Polish, German and US Hispanic markets; Temptation Island which made a return last year on W9; and reality series Party Workers, which has enjoyed over 20 seasons for W9.
