LALIGA Studios, a joint venture between LALIGA and Banijay Iberia, has partnered with Little Spain, founded by artist C Tangana, to create a fiction series set in the LALIGA universe. This marks the first series with LALIGA's official IP, promising unprecedented realism in football-related fiction.
Chalo Bonifacino Cooke, CEO of LALIGA Studios, emphasized the unique opportunity to showcase LALIGA's clubs, talent, and fans. Little Spain aims to blend football, culture, and life in Spanish professional football, with creative input from actor Josh Hutcherson.
This project strengthens the strategic alliance between LALIGA, Banijay Iberia, and Little Spain. Previously, they created the anti-racism anthem 1voiceVSRACISM, generating significant impact. Little Spain, known for its acclaimed music videos and documentaries, continues to expand its influence in the audiovisual world.
In its first year, LALIGA Studios produced content for over 100 operators in 190 countries, including the program Límite 24H. The studio also partnered with Hollywood’s MTP for football-related content, led by Mike Tollin, producer of "The Last Dance."
Banijay Iberia and LALIGA launched LALIGA Studios last year, led by Chalo Bonifacino Cooke, to grow the sports entertainment business through new partnerships and content investments.
