Banijay Entertainment has unveiled a new crime comedy drama, Enquête en Famille, produced and directed by Shine Fiction’s CEO, Dominique Farrugia, for TF1.
Distributed globally by Banijay Rights, the 6x60’ series is penned by Jeanne Le Guillou and Bruno Dega and directed by Dominique Farrugia and Sophie Boudre. The story follows Claire and Philippe Rochette (played by Clémentine Célarié and Bernard Le Coq), a modest couple from Brittany with a passion for crime and detective novels. Their obsession leads them to orchestrate the transfer of their daughter Charline (played by Naïma Rodric), a police captain, from Paris to Rennes. Despite Charline's competence in solving cases, her parents decide to join her investigations, adding a familial twist to her work. The series also stars Charlotte Gaccio and Marc Ruchmann.
Dominique Farrugia, CEO and Producer at Shine Fiction, says: “I’m thrilled to step behind the camera again and collaborate with TF1 on this exciting new project. Enquête en Famille blends humor and crime-solving, providing a fresh take on detective stories with the often comical dynamics of family life. We are confident the series will captivate and entertain audiences in France and beyond.”
Shine Fiction, launched in September 2021, has been developing a robust pipeline of premium content for the French market. The company is known for the recent thriller Broceliande, a co-production with Les Films du Printemps for TF1, and the adaptation of Michel Bussi’s gripping novel Rien ne t'efface, also a co-production with TF1.
