Viaplay and Talpa Network have formed a partnership that involves rebranding Talpa’s SBS9 linear TV channel as Viaplay TV.
Starting April 5th, the newly rebranded channel will showcase selected sports content from Viaplay's portfolio. Viaplay TV's inaugural live broadcast will feature the second free practice session for the Japanese Grand Prix, starring Dutch racing sensation Max Verstappen. April's lineup will also include live Premier League football, highlights from the Chinese Grand Prix, and live PDC Premier League Darts in Rotterdam headlined by three-time World Champion Michael van Gerwen. Additionally, Viaplay TV will continue to offer a mix of Dutch and international series and films from Talpa Network's extensive entertainment catalog. The channel is accessible to audiences across the Netherlands through all major TV distributors.
Revenue generated from this partnership will be shared between Viaplay Group and Talpa Network.
All Viaplay sports content shown on Viaplay TV will remain available in full on Viaplay.
