Sguardi Altrove Film Festival: Sky Arte  Il Canto delle sirene won as Best Film
The 30th edition of Sguardi Altrove Film Festival, the event dedicated to the promotion of female-directed cinema, which has animated the city of Milan since 10 March with over 75 screenings, meetings, masterclasses and performances, ended on March 18 in the evening with the Award's Ceremony hosted by Barbara Tarricone Hamilton and Artistic Director Patrizia Rappazzo.  Among the awards, a special Career Award was given to one of the most eclectic and appreciated actresses of Italian cinema: Lina Sastri.

The winner of the PREMIO LE FORME DEL CINEMA, awarded by the IULM Young Jury is the film The Matchmaker by Benedetta Argentieri. The prize for best editing went to Francesca Calvelli for Esterno Notte. For the section SGUARDI (S)CONFINATI, among the short films, the winner was the work Above The City by Mialika Mukhamejan, which also won the UNDER 35 TALENT PRIZE. In the same section, but for feature films, the award went to Ka Me Kalu by Flonja Kodheli and special mention to the film Masire Moshtarak by Negar Naghavi. Moving on to the #FRAMEITALIA section, Isabella Ragonese picked up the Best Film award for her Rosa il canto delle sirene, her directorial debut currently being broadcast on Sky Arte, given by the Sindacato Nazionale Giornalisti Cinematografici Italiani. In the hall to present it, President Laura Delli Colli. Special mention once again to The Matchmaker by Benedetta Argentieri, which also won the Audience Award. Moving on to the NEW SCREENS PRIZES, Alis by Clare Weiskopf, Nicolas Van Hemelryck, the prize awarded by the Luchino Visconti Civic School of Cinema, Sonne by Kurdwin Ayub, the Critics' Prize awarded by the National Union of Italian Film Critics, won. Special mentions also went to Cerdita by Carlota Martínez-Pereda and Grand Marin by Dinara Drukarova. THE WOMEN IN FILM, TV & MEDIA ITALIA PRIZE goes, ex aequo, to Alis by Clare Weiskopf, Nicolas Van Hemelryck and La hija de todas las rabias by Laura Baumeister. Finally, the New Looks Jury, presided over by Piera Detasiss, awarded the CINEMA DONNA PRIZE for Best Film ex aequo Les oubliés de la terre promise by Michale Boganim and La hija de todas las rabias by Laura Baumeister. Special mentions were also awarded to Alis by Clare Weiskopf, Nicolas Van Hemelryck and Sonne by Kurdwin Ayub.
