Rai 1 launched the docu-series Sogno Azzurro
The first episode of docu-series Sogno Azzurro  broadcast by Rai 1 on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 20.30 recorded 2.7mln viewers with an audience share of12.2%. In the same slot, Canale 5 Striscia la Notizia achieved as usual4.1mln viewers with an audience share of 18.1%.

The new docu-series is the journey that led the Italian national team to the European Championship which began la June 11th.
The camera crews filmed the daily life of the team "Azzurri" in Coverciano following them for 10 months.
This is an unprecedented TV story, which sees as protagonists the players, the technical commissioner Roberto Mancini, his assistants and the main figures that revolve around the national team. To enrich the docu-series the voices of the Rai journalists who have followed the Azzurri for years, and those of players and coaches who have made the history of Italian football, such as Gigi Buffon, Arrigo Sacchi, Marcello Lippi and Antonio Conte. Acting as exceptional narrator, actor Stefano Accorsi.
Over the course of the four episodes, the rebirth of a team that had to regain the love of the public after failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup is told.

Sogno Azzurro is the first project created by the New Formats Development Department, in collaboration with the Creative Department.
