Less than a month for the show, VIRTUAL SCREENINGS AUTUMN 2020 is taking shape with close to 40 exhibiting companies confirmed and more than 400 buyers registered with less than a month for the event that will be celebrated on September 15-24.

Along with the content offering at VS MARKET, organizer PRENSARIO INTERNATIONAL has confirmed a strong line up of panels and presentations that will highlight the most updated trends and a selection of the key global executives in 14 panels that will be available at the brand new section of the show, VS NEXT, for all participants. The sessions, which will be published every day of the show, have been organized in alliance with the partners that are supporting Virtual Screenings Autumn 2020.

On September 15, two British consultancy companies will bring up two key sessions: OMDIA and PRENSARIO INTERNATIONAL offer “The new OTT ecosystem: trends over SVOD, AVOD, TVOD” with three key platforms’ representatives: David Urgell, SVP, Head of Streaming Services EMEA-Asia, Pluto TV/ViacomCBS Network, Filippa Wallestam, EVP & Chief Content Officer Viaplay, NENT Group (Nordics) and Jacob Ahlin, Director of Digital Propositions (SVOD & AVOD), A+E Networks. Moderated by María Rua Aguete, executive director, OMDIA, the session will include a presentation about the OTT market with key stats and figures from the consultancy company and then a panel discussion about the main trends and news of the industry.

Second, K7 Media Client Manager Ella Turner will present “Unscripted Formats: Global Trends and Looking Ahead” to take a look on the format business around the world. The session will explore current trends in unscripted formats, as well as taking a look towards the future to consider what we can expect to see on our screens as we come out the other end of the global pandemic.

On September 16, two of the most dynamic regions of the world will be part of the line up. Moderated by Nicolas Smirnoff, managing director, PRENSARIO INTERNATIONAL “Latin America 2.0, new and better” will bring on stage some of the top media companies of the sub-continent: María Lucia Hernández, Director General Manager International Sales, RCN Television (Colombia), Raphael Correa Netto, international business director, Globo (Brazil) and María Pérez Campi, Sales Director, Latin America & US Hispanic, Dori Media (Israel) will describe the evolution of the region in last two decades offering much more opportunities in the content business.

Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF) will present “What Buyers Want in Indonesia”, a key panel to better understand the content needs of the fourth largest country in the world by population that is also a key television market in South East Asia with 10 national TV channels and local and international OTT services serving to more than 260 million people.

Completing the first three days VIRTUAL SCREENINGS AUTUMN, “VS Next Sessions” will offer plus two online panels. PRENSARIO INTERNATIONAL and Prof. Arzu Öztürkmen at Boğaziçi University (Turkey) will present “VS Showcase: Turkish content arises”, starting with her most recent insights about the Turkish programming worldwide in a whitepaper called “Three Decades of the Dizi lndustry: A Reappraisal”, followed by content pitching from the top Turkish distributor companies like Kanal D, Eccho Rights, Global Agency, MISTCO, MADD, Raya Group and Calinos among others.

Moderated by Maria Chiara Duranti from FormatBiz (Italy), “Trending European drama: what’s next?” will offer a selection of key European drama producers and broadcasters to talk about the moment of each territory: Claudia Marra, head of sales, RTI Mediaset (Italia), Carlota Vieira, Manager, SIC Content Distribution (Portugal), María Jesús Pérez, International Sales Director, RTVE (Spain) and Susanne Frank, Director ZDFE.drama, ZDF Enterprises (Germany), and how their production are doing well locally and international, reaching new markets globally.
