Xilam Animation has reached 100 million subscribers across its global YouTube network, doubling its audience since January 2022. The network spans more than 70 channels and has accumulated 68.9 billion lifetime views. So far in 2026, it has been averaging 20 million daily views, with growth driven in part by three of the studio’s flagship non-verbal comedy brands: Zig & Sharko, Oggy and the Cockroaches and Where’s Chicky?.
Three Xilam channels have passed the 10 million subscriber mark and received YouTube’s Diamond Play Button: the main Oggy and the Cockroaches channel, its Hindi-language channel and the main Zig & Sharko channel. The network also holds 20 Gold Play Buttons, awarded to channels with one million subscribers, and 39 Silver Play Buttons, recognising those with 100,000 subscribers.
“Reaching 100 million YouTube subscribers is an incredible milestone for our business and reflects both the enduring appeal of our characters and our sustained investment in creative, forward-thinking digital strategies. With their universal comedy and accessibility, our non-verbal comedies have always travelled across languages and cultures – and YouTube has given us a powerful way to introduce them to new generations globally, while keeping established fans coming back. Our digital team brings a huge amount of innovation and care to each channel, and this achievement is a real testament to their ongoing efforts and expertise,” said Safaa Benazzouz, Deputy CEO Distribution & Marketing at Xilam Animation.
Beyond YouTube, Xilam has dedicated brand strategies across Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat. Its combined following across YouTube and social platforms now stands at 136 million, while its content generated 4.4 billion views on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram in 2025. The milestone comes as the studio continues to expand its established properties with new productions. Where’s Chicky? is being extended into Chickies, a 78 x 7-minute CG-animated spin-off that has been presold to France Télévisions and is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2027.
France Télévisions has also commissioned a ninth season of Oggy and the Cockroaches, with delivery scheduled between Q3 2027 and Q2 2028, as the franchise approaches its 30th anniversary. Meanwhile, longstanding partner Gulli has ordered the fifth and sixth seasons of Zig & Sharko, due in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
