CJ ENM’s Street World Fighter: Director’s War is gaining international traction, strengthening the global profile of the company’s K-dance franchise.
The series, airing on Mnet and tvN in Korea, features ten leading choreographers competing not only on choreography but also on performance direction and stage production, giving each participant full creative control.
Since its August launch, the show has ranked No. 4 in ABEMA’s K-pop category in Japan and No. 1 on FPT Play in Vietnam. On iQIYI, it entered the Top 5 unscripted titles overall and ranked No. 3 among Korean unscripted shows.
Through CJ ENM Selects, the series also reached No. 1 on Apple TV+ in the U.S. and Canada, while ranking No. 1 on Amazon Prime Video Channels in the U.K. and the Netherlands.
In Korea, the programme topped its time slot for two consecutive weeks among cable and comprehensive programming channels, according to Nielsen Korea.
Young-chan Kwon, Chief Producer at CJ ENM, said the series was designed to refresh the franchise while preserving its core identity and creative focus.
