French TV Takes Center Stage as Unifrance Rendez-Vous Kicks Off in Le Havre
The 32nd edition of the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Le Havre kicks off today, bringing together the French audiovisual industry with international buyers and distributors for four days of screenings, meetings and business opportunities. Taking place from September 7 to 10, the leading international market dedicated exclusively to French television content will welcome 135 buyers from 40 countries, representing 85 participating companies, alongside 51 French distribution companies. The event offers international buyers access to a catalog of more than 400 titles, including around 50 exclusive properties, covering drama, animation, documentary, live performance and entertainment.

This year’s buyer contingent includes several first-time participants, among them Globo and Canal Curta! from Brazil, Megogo from Ukraine, MWE Networks from Poland, Novo19 from France, Remstar from Canada, Tivibu from Turkey and YTN from Korea. Mexico and the UK will also be represented at the market for the first time through A&E Latin America and Talking Pictures, respectively. The 2026 edition will also see the return of several established buyers, including RTVE from Spain, Sky Italia, MBC / Shahid from Saudi Arabia, UMS from Egypt, Kana Television from Ethiopia, and Portugal’s RTP and NOS.

Adding further star power to the event, French entrepreneur, producer, director, writer and composer Jeremy Zag will receive the Deadline TV Disruptor Award. Zag founded ZAG in Paris in 2009 before expanding the company to the US in 2012, opening offices in Los Angeles and subsequently establishing a global presence. He is best known as the creator of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, which has grown into a worldwide franchise spanning television, toys, video games and novels.
2026 agenda

The Rendez-Vous gets underway today, Monday, September 7 the official Opening Cocktail at MuMa – Musée d’art moderne André Malraux. The reception will be hosted by Édouard Philippe, Mayor of Le Havre and Chairman of the Le Havre Seine Métropole Urban Community.
On Tuesday, September 8, the program will open with industry presentations introduced by Unifrance President Gilles Pélisson. Cécile Lacoue, Director of Research, Statistics, and Forecasting at the CNC, will present the 2025 French TV export figures, while Sarah Hemar, Director of Audiovisual at Unifrance, will unveil a global report examining the performance of French programs on television and SVOD platforms internationally. The morning will conclude with a panel on strategies for adapting to a changing market, featuring Morgann Favennec of Mediatoon Distribution, Ulrich Lagriffoul of Mediawan Rights and Julie Tolza of Seventine.
The Tuesday schedule will continue with two showcase screenings at Cinéma Pathé Docks Vauban: Beasts of the Colosseum, hosted by Balanga, and Swapped, presented by France tv distribution. The day will wrap up with the Off Screen Party at La Grande École.
Wednesday, September 9, will offer full access to the Market and Screening Room, as well as a screening of The Red and the Black, hosted by Wild Bunch Distribution at Cinéma Pathé Docks Vauban. The evening will feature a cocktail reception hosted by Hervé Morin, President of the Normandy Region, at the historic Abbaye de Montivilliers.

The 32nd Unifrance Rendez-Vous will conclude on Thursday, September 10, with a final morning session at Carré des Docks, giving buyers and distributors a last opportunity to meet and finalize deals before the market closes at 1:00pm.
