The 32nd Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Le Havre, France’s leading international market for audiovisual programmes, is set to take place from September 7 to 10, bringing together 135 buyers from around 40 countries with more than 400 programmes across fiction, animation, documentaries and live performance. Organized by Unifrance, the event will welcome buyers representing 85 companies, including several first-time participants. Among them are Brazilian channel Canal Curta!, multimedia group Globo, Ukrainian platform Megogo, Polish television group MWE Networks, French channel Novo19, Canadian television group Remstar, Turkish platform Tivibu (Turk Telekom) and Korean news media group YTN.
The 2026 edition will also see the return of several established industry players after periods of absence, including RTVE from Spain, Sky Italia, MBC / Shahid from Saudi Arabia, United Media Services / UMS from Egypt and Kana Television from Ethiopia. Portugal will have a stronger presence this year, with representatives from public broadcaster RTP attending across fiction, animation and documentary, alongside the first participation of telecommunications group and pay-TV operator NOS. Long-standing partners are also returning, including 3Cat / TV3, Ceska televize, HBO Central Europe, ERT, HRT, MHz, MTVA / Duna, ORF, RTBF, RTL Belgium, VRT, Rai, RTI / Mediaset, RSI, RTS, SRC-Radio Canada, SRTV, SVT, YLE and ZDF.
Strong European Presence
European buyers will once again make up the largest part of the delegation, with companies from both Western and Eastern Europe represented. Poland will be particularly prominent, with participants including Canal+ Polska, Puls TV, TVN / Warner Bros. Discovery Poland and TVP, underlining the strength and dynamism of the Polish audiovisual market. Two new territories will also join the Rendez-Vous delegation this year. Mexico will be represented by A&E Latin America, based in Mexico City, while the United Kingdom will make its debut through specialty television channel Talking Pictures.
On the distribution side, 51 French companies will showcase more than 400 available programmes, including around 50 exclusive titles, giving buyers a broad selection across genres. The three-day market will run from Tuesday, September 8 to Thursday, September 10, with meetings taking place between distributors and buyers throughout the event. The video library will also remain accessible during the market.
Spotlight On The French Audiovisual Market
Alongside the market activity, the Rendez-Vous will feature a morning of conferences examining the performance and challenges of the French audiovisual industry internationally. The session, introduced by Unifrance President Gilles Pélisson, will take place on Tuesday, September 8 at the Carré des Docks. The CNC will present its 2025 figures for French audiovisual programme exports, with Cécile Lacoue, Director of Research, Statistics and Forecasting at the CNC, leading the presentation. For the first time, Unifrance will also unveil a summary of its report French films & programmes on TV channels and SVOD platforms abroad in 2025 Sarah Hemar, Director of Audiovisual at Unifrance, will present the findings. The morning programme will conclude with a panel titled The Evolving Audiovisual Market: How to Adapt?” featuring Morgann Favennec, Deputy CEO of Mediatoon Distribution; Ulrich Lagriffoul, SVP of Distribution – Europe & MENA at Mediawan Rights; and Julie Tolza, Director of Documentaries at Seventine. The discussion will be moderated by Cécile Lacoue and Sarah Hemar.
The Rendez-Vous will also include evening networking events and three exclusive screenings at the Pathé Dock Vauban: documentary Beasts of the Colosseum (52’), distributed by Balanga; scripted series Swapped (6x52’), distributed by France tv distribution; and scripted series The Red and the Black (4x52’), distributed by Wild Bunch Distribution.
