ZDF Studios has secured the worldwide format distribution rights to Neo Match Up, the ZDFneo entertainment show that challenges stereotypes and first impressions through a fast-paced guessing game. The announcement comes as four new episodes enter production for ZDFneo, following the first season of four 30-minute episodes that aired earlier this year. Produced by 1Take Films and hosted by entertainer and comedian Parshad Esmaeili, the format sees the host go head-to-head with a different celebrity guest in each episode.

In Neo Match Up, five people and five identities must be correctly matched. Contestants question the participants and rely on their instincts to determine who is who, while the format deliberately plays with stereotypes and misleading first impressions. Unusual professions, extraordinary life stories and unexpected personal backgrounds are among the clues that challenge both contestants and viewers. Combining comedy, celebrity participation and a simple guessing mechanic, the 30-minute format is designed to offer flexibility for different markets and audiences.
