Discovery will be among the first groups to restart one of its flagship entertainment franchises, with a new season of Bake Off Italia – Dolci in Forno launching on Friday 4 September on Real Time.Sky Uno will launch a new season of Bruno Barbieri – 4 Hotel on Sunday 6 September at 9.15pm.Hosted by chef Bruno Barbieri, the Italian factual entertainment format once again sees four hoteliers competing against each other, evaluating their rivals' properties across categories including location, rooms, services, breakfast and price.
One of September’s biggest entertainment launches comes on Thursday 10 September, when X Factor Italy returns to Sky Uno for its 2026 edition.Giorgia is confirmed as host for a third consecutive year, while the judging panel features Francesco Gabbani, Jake La Furia and Paola Iezzi, joined this season by new judge Irama.
Rai 1’s autumn entertainment schedule gets into full swing on Friday 11 September with the return of Jukebox – La Notte delle Hit, hosted by Antonella Clerici and Clementino.
Music remains at the centre of Rai 1’s September schedule with the Music Awards, returning from Friday 18 September. Hosted by Carlo Conti and Vanessa Incontrada, the event celebrates the artists and recordings that have achieved the strongest commercial results in Italy, bringing together major names from the domestic music industry.
Another major Mediaset brand preparing to return is Uomini e Donne, Maria De Filippi’s long-running daytime dating show.The new season is currently scheduled to begin on Monday 21 September on Canale 5, following the start of recordings at the end of August.
Factual entertainment returns to Rai 2 with Boss in Incognito, scheduled from Tuesday 22 September.Hosted by Elettra Lamborghini, the Italian adaptation of Undercover Boss follows company executives as they secretly work alongside their employees to discover how their businesses operate from the inside.
One of Rai 1’s most established prime-time brands, Tale e Quale Show, returns on Wednesday 23 September with Carlo Conti once again at the helm. Based on the Endemol Shine format Your Face Sounds Familiar, the celebrity entertainment show challenges well-known personalities to transform themselves into famous Italian and international music stars and perform their songs live.
Mediaset has confirmed Tú Sí Que Vales, Amici, Zelig, Chi Vuol Essere Milionario – Il Torneo, La Ruota dei Campioni, Scherzi a Parte and additional entertainment events as part of its 2026/27 offer, although not all September launch dates have yet been officially confirmed.
Canale 5 is also preparing new entertainment projects including Il Club dell’1%, hosted by Michelle Hunziker, and the Italian adaptation of Spanish celebrity challenge format El Desafío.
Meanwhile, one of Rai 1’s biggest Saturday-night shows, Ballando con le Stelle, will not return in September this year: the new season hosted by Milly Carlucci is currently scheduled to begin on Saturday 3 October.
