CJ ENM Takes Hit Dating Format EXchange To Brazil With Prime Video Original Love Transit
CJ ENM is taking its hit Korean dating reality format EXchange to Latin America, with the series set to be adapted in Brazil as Love Transit, a Prime Video Original. Directed by renowned Brazilian television producer Boninho and produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Formata, the local adaptation will begin filming in September in São Paulo and Campos do Jordão.
The original EXchange, a TVING Original unscripted format, brings former couples together under one roof without revealing which participants were previously in relationships with each other. As they revisit their past romances while forming new connections, the participants must decide whether to rekindle an old relationship or pursue a new one.

Since launching in 2021, EXchange has become one of South Korea’s most successful dating reality franchises. Season 1 recorded the highest viewing hours among entertainment shows on TVING at the time, while Season 2 ranked No. 1 in weekly paid subscriber contribution for 16 consecutive weeks. Season 3 generated a first-day impact on new subscriber acquisition 74 times greater than Season 1. Season 4 ranked No. 1 in TVING’s weekly subscription contribution for 17 consecutive weeks, from its premiere through to the final episode.
The format has also earned international recognition, including a nomination for Best Original Programme by a Streamer at the 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards. EXchange 3 was nominated for Best Original Digital Entertainment Programme at the 2024 Asian Television Awards and Best General Entertainment at the 2024 Asian Academy Creative Awards.

The Brazilian adaptation follows the format's successful launch in Japan, where Love Transit has already run for three seasons on Prime Video. The new Brazilian version marks EXchange’s expansion beyond Asia into the Latin American market.
Sebastian Kim, Head of the Content Business Unit at CJ ENM, said:EXchange brings together former couples who parted ways, giving them a chance to look back on their past relationships and find new love. Following its adaptation in Japan, we look forward to seeing the format reinterpreted for Brazilian audiences in a way that reflects their local culture and emotions.” He added: “CJ ENM will continue to expand its global format business by bringing more of our original IP to audiences around the world through collaborations with leading platforms and partners.”
