The Worldwide Audiovisual Women's Association (WAWA) has announced the fifth edition of its Business Forum, introducing a new format that will feature weekly online sessions throughout August. The initiative will bring together prominent industry executives to discuss the trends, challenges, and opportunities transforming today's global media and entertainment landscape.
The series will kick off on August 6 at 12:00 PM (Miami Time) with The Evolution of Social Media, featuring Maria Corina Marrero, Vice President of Creative at Sony Pictures Entertainment Latin America. The session will examine how social media continues to reshape content creation, audience engagement, and storytelling strategies across the entertainment industry.
The forum will continue on August 13 at 11:00 AM (Miami Time) with Beyond YouTube, led by Tamara Oliveri, Senior Head of International Content LATAM & USH at YOLU. Oliveri will explore the evolving digital content ecosystem, changing audience behaviors, and emerging distribution opportunities beyond traditional online platforms.
The final session, Sustainable Production, will take place on August 19 at 11:00 AM (Miami Time). Gabriela Dunaevschi, Vice President of Physical Production at Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Cristina Echeverri, General Manager of AG Studios, will discuss the growing importance of sustainable practices in audiovisual production and the industry's efforts to adopt more environmentally responsible workflows.
